More than 650 people took the plunge on New Year's Day, raising more than $120,000 for World Vision Canada. With this year's total, the event has raised more $1 million for clean water projects through the Christian charity since 1995, with funds still coming in. The polar bear dip has been an Oakville fixture at Coronation Park on New Year's Day for nearly 30 years, started by brothers Todd and Trent Courage.
