AT JOSHUA CREEK: The works of Oakville's late artist Mercèdés Horne are currently hanging Pianist celebrates arrival of Year of the Snake Oakville pianist Yuan Tian will be performing at a Chinese New Year's Gala Concert to help celebrate the coming of the Year of the Snake. The concert, put on by the Chinese Artists Society of Toronto, will be at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts on Sunday (Jan. 20). Chinese New Year begins on Feb. 10. The event will feature a number of per- formers. The program includes Chinese lute and classical guitar, rhapsody for the transverse bamboo flute, vocal performances and more.
