We would like to thank Dr. Greg Thomson and the staff of Wyndham Manor for the excellent care and compassion they have demonstrated over the last thirteen years. We would also like to express our appreciation to her friends from St. Andrew Church, especially Mrs. Mary McHugh, for the kindness and caring they have never failed to give over the years. Johanna was an active member of St. Andrew Church for many years. Johanna was born in St. John, New Brunswick, on September 09, 1916, daughter of the late James and Emily Murray. She was dearly loved by her husband Harold Oswald Lawson, who passed away on January 29, 1997. She is predeceased by her brothers James a n d F r a n c i s M u r r a y, a n d s i s t e r G e n e v i e v e H i c k e y. J o h a n n a i s survived by her nieces Betty C h a i s s o n , D o n n a H i c k e y, h e r nephew Daniel Hickey all of St. John and by her nephew Francis Hickey of Vancouver. She leaves behind her only daughter, JoAnn Brophy, sonin-law Bert Brophy, granddaughter Jodi Katherine Easton and her husband Scott, grandson Michael Brophy, and great-granddaughters Kathryn Grace and Rosalyn Anne Easton. Beloved wife of the late Winston for over 66 wonderful years. She was the beloved Aunt of Larry (Leeanne) Matthews and Sandra Matthews, great aunt of Justin. Vi will be missed by her sister-in-law May. Lovingly remembered by her dear friends Diana and Larry Gillard. Vi will be remembered as a vibrant woman who had a special place in her heart for dogs. He was a respected and admired leader in the information technology sector, a devoted family man, world traveller, trusted advisor, passionate follower of Formula One racing, vintage a i r c r a f t r i d e r, m o d e l t r a i n enthusiast, soccer coach, rugby and tennis player, sailor, bridge and darts expert, fan of the Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton, skilled photographer and connoisseur of great food and fine wine. Alan was a member of the Bronte Harbour Yacht Club and could be found spending time on his beloved sailboat, JuJube. He was a valued friend, Sandra's treasured partner and soul mate, proud father of Louise (Ryan) and Alexander (Michelle), delighted grandfather of Nathan, Isabella and Emma. His g e n e r o s i t y, k i n d n e s s , d e c e n c y, compassion and sense of humour embraced a huge circle of family and friends in many countries. His life was fulfilled to the max but was heartbreakingly cut short after a valiant battle with cancer. The funeral has already occurred.
