Police blotter Two Oakville men are facing charges in connection with a Nov. 13 incident that saw a 23-year-old Oakville man beaten and robbed in the area of Maidstone Crescent. Shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 13, the victim was walking along a pathway -- connecting Leewood Drive to Maidstone Crescent -- when three men approached him. Halton Regional Police say the victim was allegedly assaulted, receiving a broken nose, cuts to his face and a concussion after which his wallet, jacket and cell phone were taken. The victim was able to walk to a nearby residence to call police. The man was later transported to Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) for treatment. Halton police began an investigation into the incident, which resulted in the arrests of two men known to the victim. Artour Sabouloua, 22, of Oakville was arrested Jan. 8 and faces a charge of robbery. Harley Wright, 26, of Oakville was arrested Jan. 12 and faces a robbery charge and two counts of breaching probation. According to police, the victim's cell phone was recovered from a second-hand store in Oakville. Police determined a third man was not involved in the alleged assault and robbery. · · · this matter is asked to contact Det-Sgt. Neighbours told police they heard no gunshots and no evidence was found at the location. Police say the complainant did not identify himself, but provided his location. When police went to the location, they were unable to locate the caller. The call came to police on Monday at 10:10 a.m. by a man on a non-emergency phone number. The caller claimed two shots were fired inside an Oakmead Boulevard home by a lone man.
