The Gallagher farms orchard is located on the Toronto-Hamilton Highway at Aldershot, Ontario. It consists of 200 trees about 36 years old. The varieties are principally Spy, Greening, balance Baldwin, Russet and Wagner. Prior to 1923 this orchard had been the most unprofitable part of his farm. Several years previous Mr. Gallagher had taken out part of his orchard, and was at this time seriously considering taking out the balance. The orchard had not produced a profitable crop of apples for several years. In the spring of 1923 we called on Mr. Gallagher and discussed with him the care of his orchard. We offered him Niagara Service, which consisted of complete supervision of his orchard for the season. We convinced him that we could make his orchard profitable. We
