Letter from: ONTARIO DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, WOMEN'S INSTITUTE BRANCH AND HOME ECONOMICS SERVICE 1207 Bay St., Toronto 5, Ontario, March 1, 1955 Mrs, Russell Lemon, Aldershot, Ont. Dear Mrs. Lemon: Miss Lewis has given me your letter with the photograph and the newspaper clipping. I am returning the clipping with this letter and I will keep the photograph to use in the next Home and Country. Your own note about the Institute is interesting and I will use it and other bits of information with the picture. I have put a note on the back of the photograph to return it to you after the cut has been made but that will not be until sometime late in May. You must have a most interesting time in Great Britain. Sincerely yours, Ethel Chapman. UPNOR W.I.'s Overseas Visitors - Upnor and Wainscott Women's Institute gave a successful party on Friday to its link member and her husband from Canadaâ€"Mr. and Mrs. Russell Lemon. Two of the oldest members, Mrs. Rogers and Miss Fowler, presented Mrs. Lemon with the. W.I. brooch and a spray of red roses. In return Mrs. Lemon presented the Institute with a small tray she had made herself inscribed with her initials. The choir and the drama group entertained, and Mrs. Hudspeth? gave an excellent report on the National Federation meeting in London. Members expressed gratification on Mrs. Vidgen passing her "A" test for fine needlework with 96 marks out of a hundred. Mrs. Lemon added her name to the Institute's table cloth, and it will be worked by Mrs. Martin. A pleasant afternoon closed with tea.
