This typical old time tollgate once stood about one mile east of Aldershot, and as many as 600 vehicles have passed through it in one day. It was wrecked in 1902; 90th birthday, June 26, 1963. Surrounded by her children at a family party given recently in her honour is Mrs. Annie Smale of Burlington, on the occasion of her 90th birthday. With her at the party given by Dr. and Mrs. Harry Peart, at their Sanatorium Road home, are Miss Mary Smale, Mr. Roy Smale and Mr. Russell Smale, all of Burlington.
