VYSE celebrated her eighty-ninth birthday recently. An active woman, she still knits baby's clothes as she has done for the past eighty years. of Aldershot week at a tea in honor of Mrs. Vyse on the occasion of Mrs. Vyse's eighty-ninth birthday. The tea was at the home of Mrs. Vyse's daughter, Mrs. Sydney Wickens. Guests included members of the Aldershot branch of the Women's Institute and of the Women's Auxiliary of St. Matthew's Anglican Church. The guest of honor is a life member of both groups. Mrs. Vyse was presented gifts and received many messages of congratulation. Mrs. Frank Wickens assisted the hostess. Mrs. Vyse came to Canada with her husband in 1913 England and settled in Aldershot. She is still an active member and prayer partner in the church. Her activities include letters and knitting.
