The man, who has been diagnosed with dementia, went missing at 12:50 p.m., after visiting a medical facility at 1235 Trafalgar Rd. He was seen leaving the area in his car. Halton police initiated a search for the local senior and alerted the media, stating his possible destinations could include Hamilton, Grimsby, Waterdown or the Oakville Place shopping centre. The man was located at 7 p.m., Wednesday and was reunited with his family. Help for families of missing adults The Halton Regional Police Service announced Tuesday (Jan. 29) it is making a special guide available on its website to make things easier for the families of missing adults. The Canadian Centre for Information on Missing Adults (CCIMA), which acts as a referral centre for Canadian families and friends of missing adults, developed the resource guide. The guide is intended to provide families with useful and practical information to help cope with the realities associated with having a missing loved one.
