Trumpeter Swans return to Halton The world's largest swans had once been hunted to near extinction, but now the birds are back. Oakvillegreen Conservation Authority is offering local residents a chance to see the Trumpeter Swans in the community. The organization is hosting a free bus tour on Sunday, Feb. 17. It will leave Oakville Town Hall and take participants to the swans' over-wintering grounds in Burlington's LaSalle Park.
