Born in Kingston, Ontario, the daughter of George Ettinger and Elizabeth Watt, Barbara was predeceased by brothers Karl, Harold, Walter, Russell and Clarence, sister Georgina (Logan), and nieces Beryl (Lawrence), Judy, Barbara (Hinton) and Jane (Schunk). She is survived by her nephew Robert Logan (Luella), niece Carolyn Gooding (Grant), and was the much loved and "Best Aunt" of many grandnieces, grandnephews and great grandnieces. A gardener, artist, registered nurse, pianist, animal l o v e r, r e a d e r, B a r b a r a l i v e d i n Kingston in the beloved Ettinger family home, nursing senior family members, creating her art and her garden until she became too frail and, in 2004, left her "Scilla House" for Northridge. The family wishes to thank the staff at Northridge and St. Anne's Care for their care and friendship for the last 8 years. As was her wish, cremation has taken place.
