The first family dog-training session began on Feb. 2 with the first class set up to meet the owners without their dogs to go over expectations, what everyone hopes to accomplish and address concerns, if there are any. "Everybody seems to be enjoying the training classes, for sure," White said. "I'm thrilled it's successful -- the first class with the dogs followed the day of a big snow storm... (but) everybody showed up and had their homework done and was ready to go. It was great to see." Each session of the program costs $280 ($230 for dogs adopted from OMHS), which goes towards running the training program, as well as funding the re-homing and care of the animals in the humane society's custody.
