"It's good to dream big, but in order to make those things happen, you have to take care of the little things along the way," he said. "The one shift, the one game, the one series at a time." The Rangers did that this season, and it added up to a provincial championship. Oakville claimed the Ontario Hockey Federation title Sunday in Temiskaming Shores, capping a 5-1 showing at the allOntario tournament with a 3-1 victory over the host Puckhounds. Colton Bales, Patrick Vulgan and Mark Lakostik scored for the Rangers in support of winning netminder A.J. Sachdev. "We're pretty happy," Stewart said Monday. "It's an unbelievable feeling to imagine we got that far and were able to pull it off... everyone's on cloud nine." Having three different players score one goal in the final was hardly out of character for the Rangers at the tournament. Other than in Oakville's first game, a 9-2 rout of Hearst LHK in which Vulgan had a hat trick and Michael Desautels and Mark Lakostik both scored a pair, no player had a Oakville's other goals versus Hearst. multiple-goal contest in the tournament.
