D'Arcy was a graduate of Forestry and retired from his 32 year career with Ontario Hydro as Business Administrator of the Nanticoke Station on the shore of Lake Erie. During his retirement he enjoyed volunteering, travelling, and canoeing with the Burloak Canoe Club. Annie was born to Harry and Mary Douthart (Friel) of Coleraine Ireland, January 7, 1931 in Hamilton, ON and was a loving sister to the late George Douthart. In addition to her husband and daughters she is survived by her sister-in-law, Lina Douthart, nephew Danny (Kathy), niece Julie (Sharon), her 10 grandchildren and 3 greatgrandchildren. Annie's family and friends remember her as a devoted wife, loving mother, sister, aunt and an exceptional grandmother and great-grandmother who saw great joy in watching her family grow. Annie loved spending time with her family at the cottage on Colpoys Bay, Wiarton - her "little slice of heaven here on earth". Her home was always full of laughter, love and an impressive "spread" as family gathered for birthday celebrations, holidays or even afternoon tea.
