April 1945 - L.A. [Ladies' Auxiliary?] decided to finance four patrol leaders to Leaders' Camp. Flannellette bought to make babies clothes. Mrs. Norton addressed the L.A. on camping. 1946-September - Mrs. Deadman was made Division Commissioner. Cookie sales go up to 1008 boxes. The W.A. [Women's Auxiliary?] catered for Mother and Daughter banquet. December - Mrs. Deadman was presented with Gold Tenderfoot Pin. L.A. provided help for parties at Christmas for the 1st and 2nd Companies. 1948 - (Taken from Hamilton Spectator) Cedar Springs Mrs. Robert Todd, member of the provincial council attended. The following Guides of Second Aldershot Company, who were attending camp, took part in a play depicting the Guide life of Miss Marion Stevenson: Yvonne Barnstapple [Barnstaple?], Helen Brunner, Theresa Brunner, Jean Bullock, Shirley Henderson, Dorothy Job, Audrey Krebs, Hettie Lacey, Wanda Mann, Carol Peart, Jean Terry, Dorothy Todd, and Helen McMillan. The play was directed by Mrs. C. E. Bullock, captain of the Second Aldershot Company. Commissioner Mrs. W. J. Deadman congratulated Miss Stevenson on behalf of the Wentworth Division, saying that this was the first gold cord to be won by a Guide of Wentworth. Guests at the campfire ceremony included Mr. and Mrs. Harry Stevenson, Robert A. Hoey, Scout Commissioner Robert Todd and John and Timmy Todd. Hamilton Spectator March 7th, (1941 -?) The second anniversary of the First Aldershot Girl Guide company and brownies was fittingly observed on Thursday evening at Fairfield School when the members entertained their mothers. Captain Helen Gallagher was in charge, assisted by Lieut. Thora Jackson. Two year service stars were presented to June Moulton, Betty Goodbrand, Averil Hancock, Florence DeGraaf, Grace Connor, Laurene Wheelton, Irene Storey, Mary Preston; one-year pin, June Scheer. Following enrolment, games and contests were enjoyed, with Marguerite Storey, Mrs. J. DeGraaf and Marilyn Mayberry as winners. Mrs. Conrad Scotchburn, president of the local association of Girl Guides cut the birthday cake. Refreshments were served by Dorothy Attig and Winnie Kellar, assisted by Grace Connor, Laurene Wheelton and Irene Storey. The quilt winning fifth prize in the Lady Bessborough shield competion, which was pieced by the guides, was on display and will be sent to the British bomb victims at an early date.
