Maplehurst District Girl Guides and Brownies held a birthday party and Parent's Night in the East Plains United Church on Wednesday of last week. It was their 19th anniversary. Morgan, District Commissioner, look on. GUIDES' WORLD FLAGS DEDICATED - World flags for 1st and 2nd Girl Guide Companies of Aldershot were dedicated in a ceremony at West Plains Church last evening. Colour bearers in the upper photograph, left to right, are Joy Johnston, Joan Ellis, Susanne Weber and Marion Stevenson. Below, left to right, are Mrs. A. R. Armstrong, divisional secretary for Wentworth; Miss Florence De Grath, district captain, and Mrs. W. J. Deadman, divisional commissioner. After the dedication ceremony, Aldershot units marked the sixth year of Guiding in that community with a program of entertainment in which the two Aldershot Brownie Packs, the two Aldershot Guide companies and the 1st Girl Guide Company of Waterdown, took part.
