Photo of: Reverend Blake J. Ryan was ordained to the Holy Priesthood on May 31, 1936, by Bishop J. T. McNally in the Cathedral of Christ the King, Hamilton. Father Ryan served as assistant priest at Sacred Heart Parish, Guelph for two years before joining the staff of Cathedral High School where he became principal in 1949. While teaching he was also an assistant at St. Anne's and the Cathedral of Christ the King. In 1953 he was appointed Pastor of Holy Rosary Church, Aldershot. On the occasion of his silver jubilee of the priesthood his parishioners honour him as their beloved pastor and friend.
