HOLY ROSARY May 29th, 1957. Ballet Performance at Holy Rosary Hall More than 100 school children of the Aldershot and Burlington area will take part in a two-night recital sponsored by the Ballet Studio. The first performance will be held Friday, May 31 at Holy Rosary Hall. The second on June 1st at the Burlington Arena. Choreography was done by Heather Walker and the producer is Albert Short. Others assisting are Mrs. Doreen Lansbury, pianist George Henderson, piper; costume designing, Elizabeth Hoey; lighting by Harold Sellers and Peter Coslett. Scenery under the direction of Jack Short and Winston Walker. June 16, 1960. Tiger Cat Coach Presents Crown At Strawberry Fete. Kathy Kearns was crowned Queen of Koly Rosary Strawberry Festival last Saturday by Marie Ricci, last year's queen. She received a matched set of luggage presented by Jim Trimble, coach of the Tiger Cats. Runners-up in the contest conducted by vote of the parishioners were Lynda Mutch and Judy Soucie who received gold and silver crosses respectively. Nine hundred attended the smorgasbord supper arranged by members of the Catholic Women's League and convened Mrs. Willian Cockman and Mrs. W. A. Whelan. Mrs. J. F. Lawlor, president of the CWL was convener of the booths. Don Goodrow and William Ryan were co-chairmen of the festival with Alan Ward looking after publicity. A. Critelli won the capital prize of $50. a week for 20 weeks on a ticket sold by Mrs. D. Cooper who received a prize of $200. William Veri won season's tickets to football games for selling the most books of tickets. Attendance prize went to Marty Ryan and Larry Sparks won the portable television set. Nov. 1960 Holy Rosary C. W. L. The fall luncheon and bridge of Holy Rosary Catholic Women's League was attended by 250 in the Parish Hall, Nov 1st. Mrs. Frank Zizzo, convener, and Mrs. Norman Plumbley vice-president received the guests. In charge of the luncheon were Mrs. A. U. Oakie, Mrs. Walter Stead, Mrs. David Dewan, Mrs. Walter Gregus, Mrs. Kenneth Butler, Mrs. Marcel Roy and Mrs. Edward Walter. Mrs. V. Howcroft was convener of prizes; Mrs. Robert O'Brien, tickets; Mrs. J. Roup, publicity; Mrs. Gordon Todd and Mrs. S. White, decorations.
