Growers supplied melons for prizes and eating between games. This was a huge success and has been an annual event ever since, but using only Aldershot greens. The Growers no longer able to supply the melons as most of the farms have been sold for building surveys. There was a Ladies Section also but no records are available of members or officers, but several references are made of their contributions of furnishings for Club House, such as drapes, dishes, etc., also for assistance in serving and supplying refreshments for tournaments and friendly games.
