About 1945, the ladies decided not to be a separate section as it was found difficult to get the necessary officers, so after a discussion with the Men's Section, it was decided to accept their offer to appoint 2 or 3 ladies to act on Games Committies, (one of the 3 to be a Vice-President of the Club). In May 1945, Mrs. H. Stevenson, Mrs. S. S. Leggatt and Mrs. R. Forbes and Mrs. F. Wells were selected. 1946 - same 1947 - Mrs. Leggatt, G. Head. 1949 - Mrs. Wells, Mrs. Dellenbach. 1950 - Mrs. Wells, Mrs. Dellenbach. Due to increased membership and Social activities the Club again has both a Ladies and Men's Section and continues to flourish and provide pleasure throughout the Seasons. Gleanings from The Gazette, July 15th, 1936. At the bowling jitney held Wednesday night on the local green by the Aldershot club, Mrs. P. Emery and Mrs. H. Stevenson won ladies' prizes. Men's prizes went to Wm. [William] Scheer and Fred Wells. July 24th, 1935 The Aldershot Ladies' Bowling Club entertained several rinks from Burlington and Waterdown clubs recently. Mrs. F. Thomas of Waterdown and Mrs. Newsome of Burlington were winners. Spectator. August 31st-? A double tournament was held on the Aldershot bowling green. In the afternoon the ladies bowled for the G. W. Robinson trophy with 12 entries competing. Winners were Mrs. N. Bechill's rink of Roselawn, winner of the trophy with three wins, 42 plus five; Mrs. O. Morrison's rink, Strathcona, with two wins, 45 plus one; Mrs. C. J. Wilson, Fernleigh, one win 30. Mrs. S. S. Leggatt was in charge of the games and Mrs. George Filman was lunch convener. In the evening the annual melon tournament of the men's club was held with 16 entries from Burlington, Grimsby and Hamilton taking part. A rink skipped by J. Hanna, Argyle, won first place; W. Brett, Strathcona, second; W. Sharpe, of Roselawn, third and A. MacDonald, also of Roseland won fourth place. Cantaloupes were served throughout the evening under the direction of George Filman. Committee in charge of the tournament was Russell Forbes, George Head and Harry Stevenson.
