... 1956-Cont'd - Twelve chairs were purchased for Club house. A cheque for $50.00 was given to the Men's Club. April 18, 1956. Mrs. J. Bush, Mrs. Thurlow, Mrs. Eastwood and Mrs. Overholt met to discuss holding a card party. This was set for May 14th; also tournament dates were set as follows: July 10th, 10.30 a.m., September 7th Robinson Trophy, 10.30 a.m. The G. W. Robinson Trophy was won by the Roseland rink, skipped by Mrs. Consiglio. The Annual meeting was held October 29th, at the Club House, Officers for 1957 were: President Mrs. J. Bush 1st Vice Pres. Mrs. F. Eastwood Secretary Mrs. W. Scheer Treasurer Mrs. W. Livingstone Games Sec. Mrs. A. Thurlow Ass't Sec. Mrs. R. Overholt Card Sec. Mrs. R. Forbes. 1957 - The G. W. Robinson Trophy was won by Mrs. Joyce Plunkett of Victoria Club, Hamilton. Thirteen chairs were purchased and $50.00 given to the Men's Club. The membership was unchanged. 1958-59 - Two former members returned to the club, Mrs. G. Filman and Mrs. J. Sheriff (nee M. Stevenson). Officers as follows: President Mrs. J. Bush, 1st Vice P. Mrs. G. Head, Secretary Mrs. Eastwood, Treasurer Mrs. R. Forbes, Games Sec. Mrs. H. Stevenson. $60.00 was given to the Men's Club. Tournament for the G. W. Robinson trophy was held July 8th. Mrs. W. A. Webb of the Roselawn Club, Hamilton being the winner. A new trophy was played for by the Men's Section called the "Cook Trophy", the Ladies provided lunch for this tournament as follows: Meat, 2 baskets of tomatoes, 2 baskets potatoes, 2 packages red onions, peas (canned) 4 loaves bread, 2 lbs butter, 8 small cans milk, 1/4 lb. tea, 2 coffee, 2 gallons ice cream, 2 slab cakes. Food for the Melon Tournament as follows: 2 lbs butter, 6 loaves, fruit bread, 5 lbs cheese, large box sodas, 6 tins carnation milk, 2 quarts homo milk, 2 1/2 jars coffee. Closing date October l8th, 1958. Play-off for Ladies Singles, Dellenbach Trophy, held August 5th, 1959. Won by Mrs. S. Leggatt. 1959- All officers re-elected except Treasurer, who was Mrs. Gertrude Fox. $75.00 was given to the Men's Club. Two new members Mrs. K. Burley, Mrs. Gertrude Fox, E. Zeihr. Mrs. Webb's rink was again winner of the G. W. Robinson Trophy and E. Zeihr won the Dellenbach Trophy.
