When the canvassers call on the residents with their community council membership cards, they will also present them with cards entitling them to a free chest X-ray. The mobile unit from the Department of Health will be at Aldershot Motors on May 2, and it is hoped that every adult in the community will attend the clinic, and avail themselves of the service, which has been made possible by the generous contribution of the public towards the purchase of Christmas seals. The traffic and safety committee of the Aldershot Community Council met on Wednesday night at the home of Robert Pinhay, president of the club. The following members were present; William Saunders, Cecil Hallman, William Myers, James Bridges and W. R. Mitchell, with George Westbrook, the chairman, presiding. Following a lengthy discussion on ways and means of cutting down the speed limit along the highway in Aldershot, it was moved by Mr. Bridges, seconded by Mr. Pinhay that the chairman contact the township clerk to make arrangements for a special meeting of the Township Council for a joint meeting on an open panel discussion with federal and provincial government members, with the Aldershot Community Council traffic and safety committee, regarding the reduction of the speed limit to 30 m.p.h. in the Aldershot area and No. 2 Highway from Campbell's Corners to the city limits. START FINALS FRIDAY NIGHT IN PEE WEE LEAGUE June 25, 1951. Play-off games in the North Shore Pee Wee League for girls took place last night with Glenview defeating Fairfield 22 to 12, and Maplehurst downing Holy Rosary 20 to 8. The final game between Glenview and Maplehurst will be played Friday night at Glenview Schoold at 7 o'clock. Afterwards the trophies will be presented to the winners of both the boys' and girls' leagues at the party in the school auditorium. The community council which has sponsored the league, wish to make it clear that the party is for all players in the pee wee league and not just for the winning teams. Players wishing to attend will be picked up at their usual spots along the highway by council members and taken to and from the school in cars.
