Notes Community Council Playground committee is to meet with the Township Council next Thursday. Our Membership Campaign last year was very late in starting consequently a large number of people were not canvassed. This year we hope to get started much earlier and have a larger number of people working on this canvas. This is one of the most important projects of the year. From this campaign we derive our funds with which we operate and this year we will require many more dollars to carry out enlarged programme and purchase sports equipment; also from these funds we purchased six baskets at Christmas for some of our more unfortunate families throughout the district. The surplus funds, if any, are to be set aside for a future Community Centre, which is our ultimate goal. Anyone wishing to take part in any of these projects or committees can call or contact myself or any member on the executive. A vote of thanks to the three padres for their co-operation and efforts.
