HOLY SEPULCHRE CEMETERY at Aldershot was purchased in 1874 on September 28th, from William Russell of Dundas. In 1914 more land was added; purchased from Mr. Scheer and again in 1946 additional land was acquired from Mrs. McLeod. A Memorial Chapel was built in 1889 under direction of the Rt. Rev. T. L. Dowling, Bishop of Hamilton. Holy Sepulchre Chapel was used as a church by the Roman Catholic parish in Aidershot during the years preceding the building of the new church on Plains Road West.
