The Company is the largest rental firm in Canada and also owns the largest equipment available for rental. Some of the first local jobs were Tansley Bridge and the Burlington Skyway. In 1949 most of the equipment started working at the Bay Front Property of Dominion Foundries & Steel building their first blast furnace. This job lasted for over two years, 24 hours per day, seven days a week. Other jobs where their equipment has been utilized have been the Homer Bridge, at St. Catharines, International Bridge at Sault St. Marie, Queenston-Lewiston Bridge, Chedoke Expressway and at present the new Ford plant at Talbotville. The Company supplied the majority of equipment required by C. F. Braun & Co. for the construction of Cities Service Oil Refinery and Shell Oil Refinery in Bronte. Presently the Company's business is, for the most part, with industrial firms and boat unloading in Hamilton & Thorold district for various firms. Mr. Henderson was instrumental in forming Aldershot Industrial Installations Limited and, although a separate Company, they rent all requirements from Aldershot Contractors Equipment Rental Limited and operate from the property at 30 Plains Rd. W. owned by Aldershot Contractors Equipment Rental Limited and originally owned by John Bush. They also lease part of the warehouse built in 1957. The firm has given preference to local residents and many Burlington and district men have been employed by the Company for many years. Mr. Henderson's son, Ronold, has been active with the firm since leaving school and is experienced in all phases of the operation of the Company. He is now Vice-President. Mrs. Carr's son, James, has been with the firm for four years and is now trained to take over his mother's duties. He has recently been appointed Office Manager and Assistant Treasurer of the Company. Photos 1967
