There is also enclosed a copy of the Rural Mail Delivery Regulations. Notice: The following instructions will assist you in erecting the box : The regulations of the Department require that it should be located in such a position on the roadway as to be readied by the courier without leaving the roadway or dismounting from his horse or vehicle. Having prepared the upper end of the post for receiving the lock-plate, fasten the latter thereto so that the lower edge of the lock-plate shall rest on the shoulder of the post, and the upper edge be level with the top of the post. To fasten the box to the arm-plate, turn the box bottom upwards, and place the plate oil the centre of it and screw it thereto.
