F I G H T I N G H U N G E R On your mark for Francourse Race set for May 15 at Bronte Creek Park Bronte Creek Provincial Park will be hosting the more than 3,300 elementary students and teachers participating in the seventh edition of La Francourse Wednesday, May 15. The name of the event comes from combining Francophone and course, which in French means race. The five-kilometre walk/run helps increase awareness of the importance of active and healthy youths and offers the chance to meet other French-speaking students from the province. Students from Grades 1-6 from 24 different schools -- including Oakville, Burlington, Barrie, Borden, Hamilton, London, Mississauga, Orangeville, Owen Sound and across the GTA -- will take part in the event and each will receive a medal after finishing the course.
