www.insideHALTON.com | OAKVILLE BEAVER | Thursday, May 9, 2013 | 14 Klean Up for the Kids of Easter Seals The Easter Seals spring Klean Up for the Kids returns this Saturday (May 11). The event will be at The Fifties Diner, 649 Speers Rd. at the corner of Speers Road and Fourth Line, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. to raise money to help send local children with disabilities to specially-equipped Easter Seals camps. "Often, children with disabilities live with feelings of isolation and enjoy little social interaction with their peers," stated a press release. "Summer camp is a chance to establish independence, expand personal boundaries, and explore abilities." It costs $2,100 to send one child to camp so all proceeds go directly to Easter Seals. The day includes a car wash, bottle and penny drives, clothing, toiletry and food bank drop off with SafetyNet, face-painting, a raffle, goody bags and a chance to pick up flowers for mom.
