Or maybe you're no stranger to the stage but are new to Milton and don't know about its local theatre company. Weil, the Milton Players Theatre Group is issuing an audition invitation to actors young and old for its next performance. February 19 at 1:30 p.m. and February 21 at 7:30 p.m., the the- atre group will hold auditions for its next play, 'Funny Money', by Ray Cooney. The auditions will take place at 295 Alliance Rd., unit 15. The play wilIl be performed May 5 to 6 and Il to0 13 at the Milton Seniors' Activity Centre. Two women and six men aged 30 and older are required for tbis show, in wbich the life of mild-mannered Henry Perkins takes an exciting twist when be picks up the wrong briefcase -which tums out to be full of money. 'Me characters required range from an ordinary bousewife 10 a spirited taxi driver 10 a kindly policeman. As Use play is an English farce, s Cockney accent will be required, altbough it won't be necessary at Use auditions. The auditions will consist of a cold, group read (no mono- logues). Auditioners will be asked to filI out an application, wbicb will include previous performance experience.
