Joseph Vrbranac, 34, of Kitchener was arrested without incident by Peel Regional Police while heading to work in his hometown Friday at 6 a.m. He was taken into custody and charged with 17 southern Ontario bank robberies, including two in Milton, the most recent last month. Police named the case after the cap worn during nine of the robberies. "The work of all police services involved contributed to his arrest," said Det. Sgt. Bruce Chapman of Peel Regional Police. "It was just thorough, old-fashioned legwork and a lot of computer work. Vrbranac's vehicle was seized and is being examined by police, he said.
