CPR is seeking the closure to repair two main tracks at the Main Street crossing. To accommo- date disruptions to traffic, the Town will provide Avenue. Advance road closure signs have been posted on Main Street at the tracks. Changeable mes- sage boards will also be posted along both sides of Main Street one week before the closure and during the closure period. NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATION CENTRE #2 20 SIDE ROAD (REGIONAL ROAD 34) IMPROVEMENTS FROM NASSAGAWEYAIPUSCHLINCH TOWNLINE TO FIRST LINE, TOWN OF MILTON CLASS ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT STUDY The Regional Municipality of Halton is carrying out a Class Environmental Assessment to consider a wide range of options to satisfy safety and traffc operations on 20 Side Road (Regional Road 34) from Nassagaweya/Puschlinch Townline to First Line (see map below). The study is being conducted in compliance with Schedule C of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (June 2000), which is approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act. Chisholm, Fleming & Associates has been retained to assist Halton Region in carrying out the study. The first Public Information Centre was held on October 5, 2006. Thereafter, the preferred alternative was determined taking into consideration the problem being addressed, alternative solutions, environmental effects, and comments that were received from regulatory agencies and the public. The preferred alternative includes the realignment of 20 Side Road, including geometric improvements. A second Public Information Centre has been arranged to review the preferred alternative and receive public comments. Following the information centre, the preferred alternative will be reviewed taking into consideration the comments received, and confirmed or modified.
