The concert, titled Songs of the Seas, will feature nauticallythemed music, such as Russian Sailor's Dance, Fantasy on British Sea Songs and music from the Pirates of the Caribbean. The show will focus on music that is related to and celebrates the T H A N K Y O U history, majesty and romance of the seas. Robert Venables will guest conduct the concert. The concert will be at the Salvation Army Community Church, 1225 Rebecca St., at 2:30 p.m. Tickets cost $20 for adults, or $15 for seniors or students. For more information, visit www.intradabrass.ca. Spring art show at Joshua Creek Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre is hosting its 32nd annual spring show, which opens today (Friday). The art exhibit will showcase an art medium developed by the centre's owner and chair Sybil Rampen, created 20 years ago. The medium is a form of non-toxic watercolour printmaking. The medium is an exploration of wet colour on a rigid surface. "Rolling the plate through the press and printing is only a beginning. This way of working is for artists of all stages and ages. The ensuing masterpieces are amazing. Come and see," the gallery said in a news release. There is an opening ceremony on Sunday (May 26) from 2-5 p.m. The show ends June 23.
