community notices Notice l Obituaries CHALYKOFF, Ted Residing in Acton and formerly of Northern Ontario and Oakville. Ted passed away on May 25th, 2013 due to heart-related issues and cancer. He was 76 years young. Ted was the loving, loved and devoted husband of Margaret Renton and will be greatly missed by her. He was also loved and will be missed by his children Lisa, Dean and Dan and their families, his sister Judi-BatayCsorba and her family, his special cousins Neda Chalykoff and Bruce Wanless and by members of the Renton family. There will not be a funeral. Ted left instructions to be cremated and his ashes scattered in a flower garden at Margaret's cottage. While there, he enjoyed the friendship of the neighbours, the Georgian Bay Sunsets, golfing and the parties. Be fair or foul, Or rain or shine, The joys I have possessed, in spite of fate, are mine. Not Heaven itself upon the past has power, But what has been has been and I have had my hour. (Dryden) Condolences may be sent through www.bluespringsfuneralhome.com 519-853-2399 CHALYKOFF, Theodore (Ted), Roderick 22.xi.36 - 25.v.13 Our Red, red robin's gone bob-bob bobbin' along. Autodidact, accountant, golfer, gardener and mining executive, Ted was the son of Hazel (nee Wanless) and Rod Chalykoff. Brother of Judi and her husband, Tom. Ted was schooled in Toronto and Montreal, at St. Andrew's, and in Kapuskasing. Ted married Carolyn (nee Dewar) of Noranda, and then Oakville, where together they raised three children, Dan, Dean, and Lisa. He is survived by his second spouse, Marg Renton, and her generous children Pam, Glen, and Trish. Ted loved great sound, fast cars, fine suits, and a vigorous argument. He revered freedom fighters everywhere and loved to share new-found breakfast joints. He laughed with his whole body and his smile could light up a landscape. An ardent fan of Shakespeare, Napoleon, and Churchill, Ted was happiest talking politics and ideas. As the Robin advised, Live, love, laugh and be happy. In the end, it's all Dad wanted. (The Chalykoffs are deeply grateful for the compassion and understanding of the entire staff at Complex Continuing Care, Georgetown Hospital.) 23 | Wednesday, May 29, 2013 | OAKVILLE BEAVER | www.insidehalton.com Carrriers Wanted l Obituaries ANDERSON, Noreen Peacefully at the Waterford LTC on Thursday, May 23, 2013.
