Born in Syracuse, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert Ribble and Harriett Simpson and the step daughter of Ernest Simpson. She was predeceased by her former husband Walter James (Jim) Sherin, her brothers Laverne (Sonny) Ribble and George (Spud) Simpson. The health of her family was her first concern. She married the boy next door and raised three children, Andrew (Sheila Clyburne), Dartmouth, NS, James (Carol), Mississauga, ON, and Susan Atkinson (Dan), Vancouver, BC. She is survived by her sister Wynn Smith and brother, Allen Simpson, her children, her six grandchildren and her great granddaughter. Connie was known for her hospitality, welcoming newcomers to Creekway Village. Connie trained as a nursing assistant and worked for many years at the Milton Manor. Connie was a successful real estate agent and shared with her mother the love of beautiful homes. Connie enjoyed following politics, a good meal and drives in the country-side around Milton. Connie's family would like to express their appreciation to the staff and residents of Creekway Village. Their professional care and warm friendships made her final years of life enjoyable and comfortable. A memorial service will be held at St. Luke's Anglican Church, Palermo, 3114 Dundas St. West, Oakville, Ontario, at 2 pm, Saturday July 6, 2013 followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada or a charity of the donor's choice. Born in Montvidu, Lithuania, he came to Canada and lived in Montreal from age 6 and then moved with his family to Ontario in 1973. Beloved husband of Micheline Likas (nee Bilodeau). Loving father of Michael A. Likas and Rosamund (Clarke). Father-in-law to Shelley (Walker-Likas) and Paul Gordon Smith. Always a consummate story teller, he was a kind and wise Granddaddy to Jessica, Danielle, Michael and Nicholas. In his professional career he was a true visionary. He was a designer and inventor with patents. David was part of the team of designers for the Canadarm and other government interests. He lived a very remarkably interesting and active life. A mechanical engineer by trade and highly regarded in his field with interests in swimming, life guarding, body building and an honorary Forest Ranger. He was a pilot, flying enthusiast and past member of CASARA, COPA, and Brampton Flying Club. But his main passion was boat designing and building. He enjoyed writing and sharing his knowledge and has written a number of articles. A mentor to many, he was a skillful, talented, and wise man whose kind heart touched so many, yet his Wife of 56 years and his family were his true devotion, and their spiritual enlightenment through his guidance will live on. David will be missed dearly, remembered fondly, and will certainly never be forgotten. MCENERY, Daniel James Passed away from a tragic accident on Monday June 10th, 2013 at the age of 57. Loving father and forever missed by his three sons Conor, Aidan and Colman. Dan will also be missed by partner Yatneuris and their daughter Mercedes, and ex-wife and friend Michele. Predeceased by his father Willie and his mother Mary and his sister Theresa. Survived by his siblings Mary, Sheila and Liam and their families. Dan was a lover of books, nature and a really good joke. He never met a tool he could not master. Dan was a passionate lover of the family farm, "Avoca". He will be missed. A memorial mass was held on Friday June 14, 2013 at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 47 Reynolds Street, Oakville at 2:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
