He barbecues several times a week at home, year round. His passion for ribs began as a young boy, when he first was allowed to start the charcoal and, eventually, grill the steaks at home. I'm turning on smokers and I'm pulling pulled pork out of the smokers and putting in ribs," he said. "I have a very dysfunctional sleep pattern in the summer. I'm in bed at midnight after we close at 11 and then I'm up at five again. I might catch a few more hours at seven in the morning or two in the afternoon. But that's it, I'm on the go."
