Winning projects were selected from across Halton as the most innovative and relevant and then recognized at a recent ceremony at the museum. A Grade 10 class from Garth Webb Secondary School was there. The group produced the Project of Heart. It is an inquiry-based, hands-on, collaborative, intergenerational, artistic journey of seeking truth about the history of Aboriginal Peoples in Canada. Jackson French, 11, a Grade 6 student at Oakville's École Forest Trail was also recognized for his project, Fourteen Wonders of Thirteen Provinces and Territories. The class trip brought the students to the beach for the 69th anniversary of D-Day.
