The annual outdoor festival, which runs from 6 p.m. to midnight, did begin and after the first bout of rain early on, organizers kept it going. However, a second wave of rain came shortly after, and organizers pulled the plug. "Even after the second bout of rain came through, there was a bit of a dry reprieve but within 10 minutes another bout of even more severe rain came through. "We haven't been able to strategize that yet," Plewman said. "That will be this week. We'll have to regroup and see if it's something we can redo and if we do, how so." Plewman said there were no injuries. Furthermore, the street was reopened as usual and ready for business Saturday morning. The BIA, which organizes the event, suffered no damages either.
