"Halton residents have embraced the recent waste collection enhancements and their participation is already having a positive impact," said Regional Chair Gary Carr. "Halton has distributed more than 40,000 Blue Boxes to Halton residents and seen an increase of 13 per cent more Blue Box and GreenCart materials being collected, and a decrease of six per cent in the amount of garbage collected.
