A huge "Thank You".... for the 31 years, we have been a part of Oakville.... for the privilege of serving kids, families, seniors, new golfers, and getting to know so many wonderful people that made every day a joy. As of September 3rd, 2013, "Family Golf - Oakville" will be closing our current operation ; We will be the 6th golf facility in recent years to be closed due to urban development , (Richview, The Golf Dome, Oakville Driving Range, and this year, White Oaks Golf Course, Saw-Whet Golf Course, and Family Golf-Oakville.) We will have fewer golf facilities than Oakville had 10 years ago. A SIGNIFICANT (SAD) DAY IN OUR HISTORY We are hard at work to open a newer, much more complete golf facility in 2015, a Golf Centre to cope with the problems the game presents to golfers, (takes too long, too expensive, tough to walk for many, too long to get half decent, practice often boring and ineffective). BUT WE HAVE GREAT NEWS · It will have more practice features than the best facilities we have ever seen, · It will have the most convenience features ever offered to golfers · We'll have a wonderful 6-acre short-game practice area · It will have 6 full-sized golf holes, with multiple tees · It will have a spectacular 18-hole Miniature Golf · Our Golf Centre and Academy will make learning, and getting better, much more effective · It will offer a very satisfying, and affordable way to spend time at golf We don't know how to say it any other way..... This will be one of the finest practice facility in North America that's open to the public.... this will truly take golf practice to a new level.
