Heaver, George Richard (Died)

HEAVER, George Richard (February 5, 1924 - August 6, 2013) With great sadness we announce the passing of George Heaver, beloved husband of Marion (nee Hepburn), his wife of 61 years. He died peacefully at Joseph Brant Hospital on August 6, 2013. He was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his children: daughter Heidi, son Chris (Lisa Wilkens), daughter Glenna (Mark Seupersaud), and son Robin (Linda); and by his siblings Eileen Richards and Edgar Heaver. He was also the devoted grandfather of Trevor, Robin, Christopher, Scott, Natasha, Shaun, and Alyssa. George was a WWII veteran who later had a distinguished career in education with the Halton District School Board from which he retired in 1986 as Superintendent of Curriculum. A Memorial Service will be held in Thornbury at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army or the Sick Children's Hospital, Toronto would be appreciated by the family.
