The Town released its interactive 2012 Annual Report Wednesday, which outlines its scal strength and key achievements. "Our annual report is a comprehensive look at our work in the last year towards realizing our vision of creating Canada's most livable town. Thanks to disciplined spending and solid nancial planning, Oakville is in a strong and stable position," said Oakville Mayor Rob Burton. "We are always challenging the status quo. We control growth, debt and taxes to just what ts environmentally and economically. Our resulting nancial strength helps support our goals to create new community centres, improve public engagement and attract new business." Town staff said the its consolidated nancial statements are audited by KPMG, which has conrmed the documents accurately represent the Town's nancial position. The annual report also describes the Town's major accomplishments in 2012, such as opening Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre, unveiling the Town's newly revamped website www.oakville.ca, increasing its social media presence on Facebook and Twitter to enhance the see Vision on p.4
