The man was rescued by re ghters, but was pronounced dead at Joseph Brant Hospital, according to Halton Regional Police. Police on the scene included the Halton Regional Police Service's Marine Unit joined by the Peel Regional Police Underwater Search and Recovery Team. "Really the investigation is in its infancy," said Det. Sgt. Anthony Odoardi Monday morning. "The deceased has been identi ed. We are notifying all the family."
