School bus driver picks up ticket A 69-year-old school bus driver was ticketed Wednesday for failing to stop at a stop sign. Police said at around 4 p.m. a school bus driver was observed driving through the stop sign at the intersection of Bridge Road and Seaton Drive. A Halton police officer stopped the bus, found 10 children onboard and subsequently issued the driver a Provincial Offence Notice. Officers from across the region are engaged in the two-week return to school initiative dubbed Project Safe Start.
