Reception Oct. 6 in Burlington in memory of former Halton high school athletic convener A reception in honour of Peter Moore, the former Halton athletic convener and longtime sports official who died Aug. 13, will be held on Sunday, Oct. 6 from 1-4 p.m. at Jake's Grill and Oyster House on Walker's Line just south of the QEW. Friends and family can share in the myriad of stories and memories of the man known as `Two Six'. The cost is $50, which will be collected at the door and is to be paid in cash. This fee includes Jake's appetizers and drink tickets with a portion dedicated to funding a permanent marker in Moore's honour in Burlington. As well, a donation will be forwarded to one of Moore's favourite organizations, Special Olympics Burlington, in hope that Moore's contributions to youth and sport as well as infectious spirit will endure.
