Darlene Bryans of McDonald's Oakville received the Fire Safety Award recently for her support of Oakville's Fire Prevention Week. For 14 years, the Oakville Fire Department has hosted a special event at its 1144 South Service Rd. W., training campus during Fire Prevention Week where residents can meet the firefighters, view the fire prevention equipment and participate in a host of fire safety learning activities. For her efforts, Bryans received the Fire Safety Award from the Fire Marshal's Public Fire Safety Council at a ceremony in Toronto.
