Firefighters host Fire Safety open house Saturday The Oakville Fire Department will host its 14th annual Fire Prevention Week kickoff at the Oakville Fire Training Campus, 1144 South Service Rd., W., Saturday (Sept. 21). The event, which runs from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., will make learning about fire safety fun for the whole family and will feature rescue demonstrations, a Junior Firefighter Challenge, Oakville Hydro bucket truck rides, the Teddy Bear Triage and more.
