CLOSE, June (nee: Lynch), life-long volunteer, youth program volunteer worker at the Syl Apps Centre, retired licensed practical nurse, successful realtor, wife and mother to 4 boys went to be with Jesus her Friend, Lord and Saviour on Saturday September 7, 2013. June leaves behind one sister Vera (Basil) Parsons, 4 sons Jon (wife Colette), Guy (friend Dorothy), Kerry (wife Cindy), and David (wife Kathy) along with 11 grandchildren Aaron, Lindsay (Bob), Matthew, Joshua, Justin, Shawna, Alicia, Hanna, Liam, Chantelle (Karl) and Candace plus 4 great-grandchildren Jacob, Emma, Adyson Rae, and Arabella. June was predeceased by her husband of 59 years Roy, parents Edward and Vera Lynch, Donna & Gordon Mainland (sister and brother-in-law), Jack and Kay Lynch (brother and sister-in-law) and by her step-grandson Brent. As member of the Bronte, Ontario "pioneer Jennings family", June spent a considerable amount of her early summers and holidays visiting family in Bronte. Then in 1956 June and Roy built their long-time family home there. June remained in that home until recently when she located to Lakeshore Place Retirement Residence in Burlington, Ontario. She resided at Lakeshore Place until her passing. A unique individual and always ahead of her time, June was one of the first women to coach boy's baseball in the 1960s. She also became one of the early women professional realtors serving Oakville and area. At Church of the Epiphany- Bronte, (home church since 1956) she served as a volunteer on numerous committees and other activities. The family wishes to acknowledge the entire professional staff at Lakeshore Place, Burlington. The family appreciates the exceptional care and comfort they provided to our mother. Visitation will take place at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr St., 905-844-2600) on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place 10:30 am on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the Church of the Epiphany, 141 Bronte Road, Oakville. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Church of the Epiphany's - Elevator Project Fund appreciated. Condolences through www. koprivataylor.com.
