McGregor, Donald Gerald - It is with profound sadness that the family announces his passing on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital at the age of 82 years. Predeceased by his parents Adolphus and Leona McGregor, by his brother William, and by his sister Dorothy. Beloved husband of Lolita. Donald is survived by his brother Richard (Nancy), by sister-in-law Patricia, and their families. Loving father of Michelle (Kevin), and Christine (Richard), and their mother Lucille; Step-father of Sarah Coria (Fernando). Grandfather of Lindsay, Megan, Evan, Stephanie, Tanya, Eric, and Noah; great-grandfather of Xavier. Don spent his childhood growing up in Noranda, Quebec and later moved to Oakville, Ontario. He enjoyed gardening, and was an avid sportsman who particularly enjoyed duck hunting. He was also a professional fly-tying expert. Don kept in touch with his friends and fellow sportsmen in the Rouyn Noranda area and he will be forever missed. Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville at 11:00 a.m., followed by a time of reception in the Glen Oaks Lounge.
