Bouchard has trained with Uruguay's Defensor Sporting Club since OSC interim technical director Rafael Carbajal brought him, Marco Rodriguez and Nicolas Galvis overseas for tryouts with the professional squad earlier this year. All three players ended up signing with Adam Bouchard Defensor. Bouchard, 17, played on Oakville's men's senior team that won the Peel Halton Soccer League's First Division last year. The 14th edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup will begin Thursday (Oct. 17) and conclude Nov. 8. Canada is one of 24 teams competing in the final competition after being one of four CONCACAF nations to qualify in April. In group play, Canada will face Austria on Oct. 19, Iran on Oct. 22 and Argentina on Oct. 25. All three games will be played in Dubai. Canada has already begun training in UAE.
