14 ·The IFP· Halton Hills ·Thursday, August 30, 2012 Ariss-Stroh-Wasser to open latest exhibit in September Georgetown visual artist Barbara Ariss-Stroh-Wasser presents her newest works of art at the Holcim Gallery in the Milton Centre for the Arts next week. The solo show of conceptual art runs from Sept. 5-23. The show had to be moved to Milton this year due to the temporary closure of the Gallery at the Cultural Centre. The artist invites the public to the Opening Reception on Thursday, Sept. 6. 6:30-9 p.m. Ariss-Stroh-Wassser exhibits her work internationally, in North America, Australia and Singapore. She is also an educator, writer and designer. As a conceptual visual artist she transforms ideas into images. She is now creating on large unframed canvases, 5' wide by 12' long, capturing dynamic energies with vibrant colours, bold strokes and intricate details. The theme of this exhibit is "In Conversation with Friedenreich Stowasser-Hundertwasser, and other artists...". She visually discusses their ideas versus her own. During the Opening Reception, the artist will give an artwalk, where she will further explain her ideas and creation process.
